Samson showcases a unique take on the story of Samson. An angel visits Samson's mother to tell her that he will be born and that he will be a Nazarite, and therefore will never touch a dead body, drink wine, or allow a razor to touch his hair. Samson's family pleads with him to utilise his incredible God-given strength to fight back against their oppressors. Samson is reluctant to use violence of any kind and attempts to reason that it is not in his nature to do so, but when the love of his life is brutally killed at the hands of Prince Rallah he must harness his inner strength and need for vengeance to wage war against the Philistines. The movie features Delilah, Samson's killing of the Philistines with just the jawbone of a donkey, and other feats of his great strength. His death proves to still be a triumph of sorts in God's plan. The biblical story of Samson is clearly recognisable as the foundation of the movie. Of course, as with any action film, there will be some parts you question!
