![]() This month we're celebrating 25 years of the Fairtrade Mark. These days you'll find the mark in green and blue (like opposite) or black and white. It's a quarter of a century since the FAIRTRADE Mark launched in the UK. For 25 years, Fairtrade and it's supporters have been fighting against poverty and inequality, making a real difference to the lives of farmers and workers. From working with businesses and governments, teaching about Fairtrade in schools, campaigning and lobbying, to choosing Fairtrade in the shops, you have been part of this journey. Thank you.

![]() We had a great day with Author Suzy Senior reading her stories to groups of children. Some children (and staff) came in fancy dress costumes. The cupcakes were given out to appreciative customers and staff alike! The treasure hunt was enjoyed by all and we were able to welcome new families into the shop that had never visited us before. A big "Thank you" to everyone who helped make this day a success. Photos used with permission. ![]() At this year's CRT conference Beacon Books came runner-up out of over 300 other stores, as "Small Retailer of the year 2019". Pam and Emma were there to collect the award. Our thanks go to our volunteers who help to keep the place running as well as all our customers, the locals and those who come on holiday and visit us year after year! We are also so thankful to God for sustaining us year after year and providing for us step by step. We must of course give our huge congratulations to the store that won the award: Eastbourne Christian Resource Centre. |
