This film is big (and I don't mean in terms of it's almost 2 hour length). The film has had a lot of advertisement. A lot of people have heard of it. Loads of people want to see it. Now I know that some people don't like to see or read something that's really 'big', they don't want to 'follow the crowd' – the thinking is that this film is popular, companies have made a lot of money out of it. Well I'm going to be different and I won't go see it. I think we've all felt like that on occasions. However this film is not to be missed! It is set in America (surprise, surprise!). The main characters are a university student and his professor. The first time I started watching this film (about 10 o'clock on new year's eve) I got rather confused, because lots of characters are all being shown doing various activities at the beginning of the movie. I was sat there thinking who are all these people? What is their relevance? But it's ok, they all have a good reason to be there and an important role to play. The main thrust of the film is the 'arguments' that go on between Josh Weaton, the Christian uni student and his atheist lecturer, Professor Radison relating to Christianity and atheism. They do it well, the two of them don't just have shouting contests in each other's faces. They have scriptures and quotes presented in slideshows to support their facts.
Kevin Sorbo stars as the professor, with Shane Harper acting his student, David A R White acts 'Pastor Dave', and there's a real live Newsboys concert at the end (spoiler alert!). I could watch this film over and over again. The reason I've only watched it four or five times is that if I watch too much then I might get bored of it! :-/ SOPHIE. xx
